Senior Analyst, Government Sanctions – Vilnius, Lithuania

This position operates within the Government Sanctions and Interdiction team within the Financial Crimes Compliance organization. The Government Sanctions and Interdiction team is responsible for the oversight and management of the Global Sanctions Compliance Program at Western Union and helps detect and deter sanctions risks. As a Senior Analyst you will process Level 3 sanctions alerts for agents, customers, financial institutions, and transactions. In addition, you will assist in overseeing the achievement of our service level agreements, desk reference updates, preparation of various reports and other tasks to ensure department goals are met.
Role Responsibilities

Process Level 3 sanctions alerts for agents, customers, financial institutions, and transactions.

Manage day-to-day workload to ensure SLAs are achieved.

Responsible for identifying process improvements and making recommendations to improve procedures and or system changes.

Maintain current desk procedures.

Liaise with Regional Sanctions team, GFO, Platform Operations, and Western Union International Bank (WUIB).
Role Requirements
-
Experience in GSI Level 2.
-
Intermediate to advanced level knowledge of iWatch, Pharos, CAMS, and Microsoft Suite.

Proven track record of moderate to highly complex problem solving and decision-making with a solution driven approach.

Ability to maintain a sense of urgency with proven attention to detail.

Effective communicator, both orally and in writing to facilitate an open exchange of ideas.

Must possess well developed interpersonal skills and function in a team-oriented environment.
-
Strong ability to manage change and adapt to new processes seamlessly by setting priorities and goals.

Aptitude to balance interests of a variety of customers readily readjusting priorities to respond to changing demands.

Should have general working knowledge of AML practices, as well as problem solving, decision making, and analytical skills

Salary
The monthly gross base salary range is 2,563 – 3,415 EUR. This range represents anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible for an annual variable target incentive (which may include long-term incentives, if eligible) that aligns with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on candidate’s qualifications, skills and competencies.
