Western Union is hiring a Assistant Product Manager– Digital Funnel Optimization to own and optimize the end-to-end customer journey across its digital website and mobile applications for European markets. 

This role focuses on product health, funnel optimization, and experience quality, with a strong bias toward proactive issue detection, conversion improvement, and execution excellence. The successful candidate will act as a customer-zero, identifying issues and opportunities before they impact customers, while working closely with regional product leadership and cross-functional teams.

Role Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end funnel optimization for web and mobile apps across EU countries, covering new and existing customer journeys. 

  • Undertake competitive analysis to ensure baselining of product features and drive towards creating competitive edge. 

  • Continuously monitor product health by performing production testing across the full transaction flow and identifying issues before customers do. 

  • Analyze macro and micro conversion funnels, identify drop-offs, and drive experience and conversion improvements. 

  • Track funnel performance and stability post-release, ensuring no friction in experience or conversion. 

  • Review App Store / Play Store ratings, reviews, and customer feedback, partnering closely with Customer Care to surface key issues and insights. 

  • Report, triage, and support resolution of critical production issues, including monitoring error spikes and coordinating timely fixes with Engineering.  

  • Drive automation in funnel analysis and monitoring, partnering with Data teams on dashboards and alerts. 

  • Partner with the EU Regional Product Lead on funnel insights, prioritization, and optimization strategy. 

  • Identify and document features and country-specific behaviors in preparation for platform migration or modernization. 

  • Write clear product requirements and user stories, participate in refinement, grooming, and sprint ceremonies following agile methodology. 

  • Ensure high product quality through test case creation, validation of fixes, and coverage of edge cases across markets. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to maintain a healthy, prioritized product backlog and clear communication of goals and timelines. 

Role Requirements

  • University degree with minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Product Management, Digital Product Experience, or Funnel Optimization 

  • MBA preferred 

  • Strong experience with consumer mobile apps and websites 

  • Hands-on experience with funnel analytics, production issue management, and agile delivery 

  • Comfortable working with multi-country European products 

  • Strong analytical, execution, and stakeholder management skills 

  • Fluency in English required (Spanish is a plus)
