In this role you will be responsible for handling day-to-day settlement accounting operations, Accounts Payable for settlement amounts, Accounts Receivable from branches, coordinating with branches, completing reconciliations, dealing with internal functions etc.

This position will also be responsible for ensuring timely close of settlement related journals for group reporting each month, completing balance sheet reconciliations, coordinating with auditors etc.

Role Responsibilities

  • Preparing customer bank book, bank reconciliation & comparing to cash reports from branches 30% of your time
  • Checking, Responding & Pasting daily branch emails 20% of your time
  • Preparing Daily WUNCC payments & daily Audit check, weekly invoicing to sub agents for money transfer & FX share of commission & FX & thereafter its related payments 20 % of your time
  • Monthly Matching of branch per MTCN level from WUPOS to voyager settlement   report 15% of your time
  • Month end preparation of accounting templates for posting to accounting system & thereafter preparation of balance sheet schedules preparation for upload to WU system. MAS reporting. Prepare external auditors supporting documents request 15% of your time

Role Requirements

  • Fresh graduates or candidates with 1–2 years of experience
  • GCE A-Level or Diploma in Accounting is preferred
  • Basic accounting knowledge
  • Comfortable working with numbers
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Access is a plus
  • Problem-solving mindset
  • Shows initiative and can work independently
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Meticulous with a strong eye for detail
  • Strong business writing, presentation, and verbal communication skills
  • Fluency in English is a must
