As the Country Director, you will be responsible for the overall success of the build and roll-out of Western Union’s consumer digital banking offering in Brazil market, including owning customer outcomes, P&L growth, and risk outcomes (as first Line of Defense).
Role Responsibilities
- Act as a general manager bringing together group and bank functions (including marketing, GTM, product, operations, compliance, risk, fraud and finance) to ensure that the proposition and its delivery meets the customers’, business’ and regulatory requirements.
- Work with other Western Union country leaders (e.g., Money Transfer) to ensure a seamless omnichannel experience is delivered to Western Union customers in the country market.
- You will need to have a deep understanding of operating in a regulated environment, including regulations relating to the selling of financial products. Especially at the beginning, you will need to be comfortable working in start-up mode and will need to exercise entrepreneurial skills as a strategist, a marketer, an operations leader, a risk manager, a regulatory and licensing expert, and a business champion.
- Define, Implement, develop and operate a business model/product. Building strategic partnerships and maintaining relationships with strategic partners.
Role Requirements
- For such an important role, you will need to have 7-10 years of experience in retail consumer banking and/or payments, in a digital environment.
- Experience engaging with customers and selling in a regulated environment.
- Vendor and budget management.
- Experience in digital products and defining winning customer value proposition and business model.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and communicate with stakeholders at various levels internally and externally while having excellent verbal and written business English skills.
- Experience defining, implementing, and operating financial services products and payments: Accounts, Cards, Pix.
- Team player with the ability to prioritize workload in line with tight deadlines and under pressure, and with organizational and project management skills with the ability to break large tasks into smaller tasks that can be monitored and tracked.
