As a Director, Project Management, you will lead the strategic transition and transformation of core CIO functions, including infrastructure (on-prem & cloud), application management services, corporate services, agent care, and marketing technology—towards a vendor-managed delivery model. This individual will be responsible for orchestrating a smooth and risk-mitigated transition, ensuring operational stability during steady state, and driving continuous improvement and innovation in partnership with the vendor. You would be performing below –
Role Responsibilities
Transition Management
- Lead the full lifecycle transition of CIO functional areas to a managed services vendor, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Execute and manage comprehensive transition plans including governance, timelines, resource allocations, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Act as the primary point of contact between internal stakeholders and the vendor during transition phases.
Steady State Oversight
- Establish and manage robust operational governance, including performance metrics (SLAs/OLAs), risk controls, and issue escalation frameworks.
- Monitor and report on vendor performance with a focus on transparency, accountability, and regulatory alignment.
- Ensure effective performance of the vendor during the steady state period by defining, tracking, and enforcing SLAs, KPIs, and governance frameworks.
- Facilitate regular operational reviews, issue escalations, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Serve as a strategic interface for internal business units to ensure alignment with service delivery.
Transformation & Optimization
- Drive transformation initiatives focused on modernization, automation, and efficiency gains in infrastructure and application operations.
- Partner with enterprise architecture and other IT teams to shape a future-state operating model.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, innovation, and enhanced service quality.
Role Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in program or portfolio management, with at least 5 years in large-scale IT outsourcing or managed services transitions.
- Proven track record in managing hybrid IT environments (on-prem and cloud).
- Experience overseeing service delivery across infrastructure, application management, and end-user support functions.
- Deep understanding of vendor governance models and contract management.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant experience; advanced degree or certifications (e.g., PMP, PgMP, ITIL, CISA) strongly preferred.
- Experience working in or with organizations undergoing digital transformation.
- Familiarity with cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern operational models (DevOps, SRE, ITIL).
- Demonstrated success in navigating complex enterprise environments and cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with incident, change, and problem management processes in regulated environments.
- Proven ability to communicate with and influence senior business and technology leaders.
- Financial services industry certifications or experience in banking, insurance, asset management, or fintech domains.
