Role Responsibilities
As an experienced Technical Manager, you will lead and oversee multiple engineering teams working on Angular and Java-based applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, with a solid understanding of both front-end (Angular) and back-end (Java, Spring Boot) technologies. While this role is not highly hands-on, the Technical Manager should be able to provide technical guidance, drive best practices, and ensure successful project delivery through effective team leadership and cross-functional collaboration.
Team Leadership & People Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop multiple engineering teams working on Angular and Java technologies.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development discussions.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members.
Technical Oversight
- Provide high-level technical direction and architectural guidance for Angular and Java projects.
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and organizational guidelines.
- Facilitate technical discussions, design reviews, and solution evaluations.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends relevant to the tech stack.
Project & Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to define project requirements, scope, and deliverables.
- Oversee project planning, estimation, prioritization, and resource allocation.
- Track project progress, manage risks, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
- Communicate project status, challenges, and achievements to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Process Improvement
- Drive adoption of agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and continuous delivery practices.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance team productivity and software quality.
- Ensure proper documentation of architecture, processes, and best practices.
- Promote knowledge sharing and collaboration across teams and departments.
Role Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in technical management or leadership role.
- Solid understanding of Angular (front-end) and Java/Spring Boot (back-end) technologies.
- Experience managing multiple teams or large-scale projects in a complex organization.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to drive technical excellence and deliver results through others.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in large organizations with distributed or cross-functional teams.
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and DevOps practices.
Familiarity with microservices architecture and modern software delivery pipelines.
Work Shift
