Role Responsibilities

Ensure timely completion of all assigned accounting close activities.

Analyze complex financial transactions and reports, including determining accounting reserves, asset capitalization, and expense recognition.

Review, verify, and certify the accuracy of journal entries and all supporting accounting records.

Prepare reconciliations and roll forwards, ensuring reconciling items are cleared in a timely manner.

Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and drive process enhancements across accounting workflows.

Prepare AGIS invoicing, office funding, and service agreement documentation.

Provide financial reporting and analysis to management and business partners.

Participate in and support accounting initiatives or projects, including implementations related to new systems, products, or accounting standards.

Serve as an accounting liaison and/or provide work direction to less experienced accounting staff, as needed.

Assist with internal and external audits focused on financial reporting and internal controls.
Role Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
-
Knowledge of US GAAP.

4–6 years of financial accounting experience.

Proficiency with Oracle, Excel, and other financial tools (preferred).

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
-
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross‑functional partners.

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Work Shift
HYBRID – Western Union values in-person collaboration, problem solving, and ideation whenever possible. We believe this fosters common ways of working and supports how we execute initiatives for our customers. The expectation is to work from the office a minimum of three days a week.

Salary
Annual base salary range is $80,000 – 90,000 USD per year. Total on-target compensation includes a base salary and short-term and long-term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on candidates’ qualifications, skills, and competencies.
