You will play a critical leadership role in the development, execution, and performance management of Western Union’s enterprise strategy. You will partner closely with senior leaders across business units and functions to lead strategic planning cycles, ensure alignment to enterprise priorities, drive progress on strategic initiatives, and oversee the enterprise OKR (Objectives & Key Results) program. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, cross‑functional leadership, analytical rigor, and exceptional communication skills. You will guide and influence stakeholders across the organization, deliver executive‑ready insights and materials, and lead high-impact strategic efforts that shape the future of Western Union.
Role Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Planning
- Lead the facilitation, orchestration, and continuous improvement of the enterprise strategic planning cycle, including executive-level materials, stakeholder engagement, and governance.
- Partner with senior leaders to define, align, and refine enterprise-wide objectives and strategic priorities.
Enterprise OKR Ownership
- Oversee the design, implementation, and ongoing evolution of the enterprise OKR framework.
- Guide leaders and teams in aligning departmental objectives to corporate strategy.
- Own ongoing OKR governance, performance tracking, and reporting to executive leadership.
Execution & Initiative Management
- Lead cross-functional workstreams and ensure strategic initiatives remain on track—driving clarity, decision-making, and risk mitigation.
- Provide structure, rigor, and program-management discipline to complex, cross‑functional efforts.
Insights, Analytics & Executive Communications
- Conduct and oversee qualitative and quantitative analyses to support strategic recommendations.
- Create compelling dashboards, insights, and executive-ready presentations that influence decisions at the highest levels of the organization, including the Executive Committee and Board of Directors.
- Synthesize complex information into clear, concise strategic narratives.
Team & Stakeholder Leadership
- Provide guidance, coaching, and direction to junior team members and cross-functional partners.
- Build strong relationships across all levels of the organization to foster alignment, collaboration, and strategic clarity.
Role Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in strategic planning, management consulting, corporate strategy, or a related analytical field.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders.
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical capability, and structured problem‑solving skills.
- Exceptional communication and executive‑presentation skills; ability to craft clear, compelling PowerPoint materials.
- High proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).
- Experience managing complex projects, with strong organization, detail-orientation, and follow-through.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and collaborate across global teams.

Salary
The base salary range is $115,000.00 – 135,000.00 Annual USD per year, total on target compensation includes a base salary plus annual incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on candidates’ qualifications, skills, and competencies.
