As a Senior Manager, Compliance, you will lead the design and implementation of compliance frameworks for our new wallet offering. This is a First Line of Defense role, responsible for ensuring robust controls and processes that meet Australian regulatory requirements and global best practices.
Role Responsibilities:
- Design and implement compliance control frameworks for the wallet product, covering:
- Customer risk scoring and onboarding controls
- Transaction monitoring and alert management
- Case escalation and investigation processes
- Regulatory reporting (e.g., IFTIs, SMRs)
- Ensure compliance with AML/CTF obligations under Australian law.
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures aligned with AUSTRAC and other regulatory bodies.
- Collaborate with Product, Operations, and Technology teams to embed compliance requirements into processes and systems.
- Oversee compliance-related training for wallet operations teams.
- Act as the primary compliance advisor for wallet initiatives, ensuring adherence to Australian Financial Services Licensing (AFSL) framework.
- Monitor regulatory changes and assess impact on wallet operations.
Key Requirements:
- Extensive experience in AML/CTF compliance within the Australian financial services sector.
- Strong knowledge of Australian regulatory frameworks, including AUSTRAC reporting obligations and AFSL requirements.
- Proven ability to design and implement compliance frameworks for digital financial products.
- Experience in transaction monitoring systems and risk scoring methodologies.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with digital wallets, payments, and lending products.
- Experience with multi-currency and cross-border payment compliance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
