Business Analyst – Santa Ana, Costa Rica

The key to this role is to focus on different activities related to process optimization and documentation, automation and technical enablement, project execution and support, and cross-functional collaboration with other teams. Role Responsibilities 

  • Design, document, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for operational processes. 

  • Create and optimize process maps and flowcharts using tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, or Miro. And integrate documentation and process flows with digital platforms (e.g., JIRA, SharePoint, Confluence). 

  • Conduct process assessments to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities. 

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather insights and validate process changes. Assist in building and maintaining Power BI dashboards for project tracking and KPI monitoring. 

  • Support the development of automation solutions using tools such as Power Automate, Excel VBA, Python, or Alteryx. 

  • Participate in the Operational Excellence project lifecycle, including intake, prioritization, execution, and closure. 

  • Track progress across buckets (Ideas, Backlog, Work In Progress) and support strategic reviews. 

  • Engage directly with Digital & Retail Collections teams to validate and support initiatives. 

  • Understand business needs and translate them into actionable process improvements. Collaborate with team members on shared and individual projects. 

Role Requirements 

  • College or higher degree in Industrial Engineering, Economy, Computer Science with at least 1 year of experience working in the financial sector. 

  • Working experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst. Working experience in Project Management. Experience or exposure to financial services, collections, or operational environments is a plus. 

  • Fluency in English with outstanding verbal, writing, and listening skills (B2+). 

  • Strong experience or coursework in process documentation, SOP creation, and automation. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio. Familiarity with Power BI, JIRA, SharePoint, SQL. 

  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Be self-motivated and results oriented. Customer experience mindset is required. Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy. Also, dept at queries, report writing and presenting findings. Detail-oriented, organized, and self-driven. 

  • Agile approach (Scrum, Green Belt, JIRA) and/or any other business intelligence tools (Looker, Snowflake, etc.) is a plus. Besides, Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or Project Management Certification is a plus. }
