We are seeking a proactive and results-oriented Business Development Associate to support our growth strategy in Senegal and the broader West African region. The ideal candidate will be a strategic contributor to management, actively engaging with agents to drive sales, identifying new business opportunities, and supporting local marketing initiatives.
Role Responsibilities
Agent Engagement & Sales Activation

Build and maintain strong relationships with agents and partners across Senegal.

Conduct regular field visits and virtual check-ins to ensure alignment with sales targets.

Provide training, motivation, and support to agents to enhance performance.
Business Development & Strategic Input

Actively contribute ideas and insights to management to improve market penetration.

Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, partnerships, and distribution channels.

Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions.
Sales & Marketing Support

Collaborate with marketing teams to design and implement local campaigns.

Assist in the development of promotional materials tailored to the Senegalese market.

Track and report on campaign effectiveness and agent performance.
Reporting & Analysis

Prepare regular reports on sales performance, agent engagement, and market feedback.

Use data to recommend actionable improvements and growth strategies.
Role Requirements

Minimum 2 years of experience in business development, sales, or agent network management, ideally within the remittance, fintech, or banking sectors.

Strong understanding of the Senegalese market and consumer behavior.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Finance, or related field advantageous

Proactive, solution-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Fluency in French and English is required; Wolof language skills are a strong asset.

Individuals who speak Wolof or have significant professional exposure to the fintech, banking, or remittance sectors in Senegal are strongly encouraged to apply.

Experience working with agent-based networks, mobile money, or digital financial services is highly valued.
