The Senior Analyst, Strategic Planning will play a critical role in supporting the development, execution, and tracking of Western Union’s enterprise strategy. This individual will partner closely with leaders across the organization to drive strategic planning processes, monitor progress against strategic priorities, and support the development and tracking of enterprise OKRs (Objectives and Key Results). The Senior Analyst will also contribute to a wide range of strategic efforts as needs arise, including developing board materials, building executive presentations, conducting ad hoc analyses, and supporting high-impact initiatives. The role combines analytical rigor, project management, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure strategic alignment and effective execution.

Role Responsibilities

  • Assist in the facilitation and coordination of the annual strategic planning cycle, including preparation of key materials, stakeholder engagement, and documentation.
  • Support the design, implementation, and maintenance of the enterprise OKR framework; assist departments in aligning their objectives to enterprise priorities and track progress across the organization.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to help launch and track execution of strategic initiatives, ensuring milestones are met and risks are proactively managed.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative analyses to inform strategic decisions; develop insights, dashboards, and presentations for senior leadership.
  • Assist in managing cross-functional workstreams, timelines, and deliverables for key strategic projects.
  • Create and maintain strategic updates, dashboards, and executive-ready materials to communicate progress on strategy and OKRs.

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in strategic planning, management consulting, corporate strategy, or a related analytical field.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; ability to synthesize complex data into clear insights and recommendations.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills; able to create clear, compelling PowerPoint materials for senior stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects with attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
  • Strong people skills: able to build trust and collaborate across all levels of the organization.

Salary 

The base salary range is $82,000 – $93,000 USD per year, total on target compensation includes a base salary plus short-term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on candidate’s qualifications, skills and competencies.
