Operations Manager – Madrid, Spain

As Operations Manager for Spain, Portugal, Andorra and Gibraltar you will ensure the timely delivery of all regional projects, be the liaison between technical and non-technical teams and ensure the correct operation of the network. All projects in Western Union involve multi disciplinary teams in Asia, Europe and US, Africa and LACA.

Hybrid: 3 days at the office per week

Role Responsibilities

  • Support to owned Stores
  • Strong support to the sales team managing our network of independent agents 
  • Close to market and Competition operation changes
  • Leading Compliance projects (KYC, GDPR, KYA) with Key Partners (Banks, Postal offices, Financial Institutions) for Spain, Portugal, Germany, France, Belgium, Italy, and Netherlands. 
  • Technical update projects, including the rollout of new technologies to a diverse network of Agents, using Agile methodologies.

Role Requirements

  • Experience in operations management supporting multi projects
  • Troubleshooting experience
  • Expert in Ticket management
  • Proficiency in Excel, networking, Windows
  • Preferred knowledge of, JavaScript, Action Script  – Power Automate – C#, Visual Studio, SQL
  • Attention to detail and follow-through skills a must. 
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills. 
  • Sound logic, reasoning skills to identify, develop, evaluate alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems. 
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
