We recently launched a new Money transfer customer experience, digital banks and wallets in multiple global markets to enhance our customers’ experiences with a cutting-edge digital Ecosystem.
In this critical role, lead a team of engineers in designing and developing world class APIs that enable core Money transfer, digital banking and wallet solutions, and empower your team with ownership and agility to quickly respond to enhancements, functionality issues, and the implementation of new corridors and regions across multiple customer channels to ensure new digital financial capabilities are delivered quickly to the customers.
Role Responsibilities
- Lead work on innovative, actionable, and efficient technology solutions to drive the development of APIs that cater to various business functions.
- Demonstrate strong capabilities in assessing business needs while providing creative and effective solutions in conformance to emerging technology standards.
- Execute success through diligent planning, attention to detail, effective delegation, and efficient decision-making abilities.
- Interface and collaborate with other engineers in geographically distributed development centers.
- Strong emphasis on customer journey, product quality, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and continuous development
- Develop technical & domain expertise and apply in solving product challenges.
- Estimate engineering efforts, plan implementation, and roll out applications with cross-functional and cross-regional impacts.
- Mentor and coach engineers to deliver faster by utilizing AI tools to assist in code development.
Role Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in software engineering, IT, or relevant discipline is preferred. Other relevant Software Engineering experiences in the Banking or FinTech industry will be considered.
- A minimum of 7+ years of professional in delivering functional and technical solutions to financial services.
- Experience working on Money transfer platforms or Core Bank systems or other retail financial platforms.
- Hands-on experience designing, developing, implementing APIs in public cloud environments, especially in the Retail financial industry.
- Solid foundation and extensive experience in Java/J2EE, Java Spring boot, AWS, Cloud Mesh architecture, DevOps, Security fundamentals.
- Ability to evaluate business needs and achieve alignment among stakeholders, with excellent verbal and written communication skills for managing both direct and indirect talent effectively.
- Strong technical skills in architecture patterns, solutions design, and integration development.
- Excellent understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, OOPs, and OOA/D
- Hands-on experience building a microservices-based architecture and platform developed and deployed at scale.
- Exposure to AI tools especially for speeding up code delivery.

Salary
The total on-target earning range is $190,000 – 228,000 per year, which includes a base salary and variable target incentive (including short-term and long-term incentives) that aligns with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on candidate’s qualifications, skills and competencies.
