As a Compliance Officer, you will support WU Operation efforts in implementing Anti-Money Laundering, Counter Terrorist Financing, and Anti-Fraud policies and procedures. Also, you will evaluate how WU subagents incorporate compliance requirements and standards through conducting activity analysis, regulatory reporting, compliance reviews, and training sessions.

Role Responsibilities

  • Provide AML Compliance support to internal areas of Western Union and master agents to build programs that follow the Bank Secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act, and other anti-money laundering laws as they apply to Money Services Businesses and follow policies and procedures as they relate to anti-money laundering.
  • Project management related to anti-money laundering monitoring improvement, or to mitigate new risks, or complying with new AML Regulations.
  • Monitoring transactions and supporting Compliance AML Team on their activities.

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in legal, finance, business administration or related.
  • 3-5 years of experience in compliance, auditing, risk mgmt., banking, or operations with a minimum of one year of experience in BSA (Bank Secrecy Act) Compliance or operations.
  • Organizational, proactive and problem-solving skills with good communication (oral and written) and interaction with areas.
  • Proficiency using the Microsoft Office Package tools, such as Excel and Power Bi.
  • Advance English level is required.
  • Ability to travel 50% or less depending upon work location and area assigned.
  • Good credit report (APC) is a must.
  • Availability to work Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm or 9am to 6pm.
