Manager, Partner Success & Network Development – APAC
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic professional to lead and expand our account payout network across the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. This role is pivotal in enhancing our company’s value proposition by ensuring efficient money movement capabilities, including deposits into accounts or wallets. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of commercial acumen, operational oversight, and product collaboration skills to drive growth and maintain robust partnerships.

In this critical role, you will lead business and customer success of our cross-border account partner network across the Asia-Pacific region, with potential management of global partner accounts. This role encompasses managing last-mile delivery networks, cultivating strategic partnerships, driving business growth, overseeing budgeting and forecasting, contributing to improving the product, and ensuring compliance working with internal functions.

Role Responsibilities:

Strategic Partnership Development

  • Identify and establish strategic partnerships to enhance cross-border payment capabilities and network.
  • Stay updated on trends in international payment systems and regulatory changes.
  • Develop and implement strategies to expand services and increase market reach (country coverage).
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and opportunities in the cross-border payments sector.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth and operational efficiencies.
  • Collaborate with regional and country teams to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Monitor sales/network performance and adjust strategies as needed to achieve targets (customers, volume, revenue, margin).

Commercial Agreement Management

  • Lead negotiations and manage the lifecycle of commercial agreements with banks, Fintechs and cross-border operators, ensuring mutual value and compliance.
  • Regularly review and evolve existing contracts to adapt to changing market dynamics and business needs.
  • Ensure timely and accurate execution of contracts, coordinating with legal and compliance teams as necessary.
  • Ensure all contractual agreements align with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Operational Oversight

  • Oversee the implementation and performance of partner integrations, ensuring seamless fund movements and transaction processing.
  • Collaborate with treasury and finance teams to manage liquidity, settlement processes, and reconciliation activities.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess partner performance and address operational issues proactively.
  • Ensure adherence to payment regulations and compliance requirements.

Product Development & Customization

  • Provide insights and feedback to product teams for the development and customization of payment solutions.
  • Act as the liaison between partners and internal product/engineering teams to facilitate the development and enhancement of payout solutions.
  • Ensure products meet the specific needs of customers and comply with regional regulations.
  • Ensure that partner requirements are effectively translated into technical specifications and delivered solutions.
  • Ensure customer success with product quality, customer support and experiences.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with business, product, compliance, finance, and operations teams to align strategies and ensure cohesive execution.
  • Facilitate communication between departments to streamline processes and resolve issues.

Role Requirements:

  • To be successful in this role you will have at least 5 years in business development, customer success, partner management, network expansion roles or payment operations with a focus on payments and cross-border transactions. in Remittance, Digital Payments and Banking industries. Experience in direct-to-consumer payments across retail channels and digital channels is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, or a related field.
