Officer, AML Compliance – Vietnamese Speaker – Quezon City, Philippines

In your role you will be supporting our agents and affiliates to build anti-money laundering (AML) programs to make sure they comply with regulations.

Role Responsibilities 

  • Provides AML Compliance support to less-complex and lower-risk agents of Western Union and its affiliates to build programs that are in compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act, and other anti-money laundering laws as they apply to Money Services Businesses.
  • Supports agents' efforts to comply with company policies and procedures as they relate to anti-money laundering.
  • Evaluates internal controls and anti-money laundering compliance programs for agents through transaction analyses, compliance reviews and training sessions.
  • Responsible for follow up with agents concerning review findings. Work will be closely supervised until skills are consistently demonstrated.
  • Provide training and resources for agents to help them comply and evaluate the robustness of existing controls..
  • Analyze agent transactions, report any suspicious activities and work with law enforcement when required. 
  • Partner closely with your local AML team to assist them in the overall development of AML programs and initiatives. 
  • Perform remediation to make sure any issues have been resolved and the agent is fully compliant.  

Role Requirements 

  • Minimum one year experience in business-related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to learn to analyze, utilize industry standards and employ sound judgment to draw conclusions regarding the status of an agent's compliance program. 
  • Excellent multi-tasking ability. Demonstrated interpersonal and customer service skills. 
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft applications.
  • Excellent communication skills both in English and Vietnamese are a must and Burmese proficiency will be an advantage.
  • Four year degree preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% depending upon work location and area assigned.
