Assistant Marketing Manager, Caribbean Region in Miami, FL (Hybrid)

The Assistant Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing the annual marketing plan for the Caribbean region in coordination with the commercial business team and Western Union agent partners. 

Role Responsibilities

  • Works with the Regional Business team in the development of and ensures the execution of the annual marketing plan for the region to deliver growth for the portfolio of markets and products/ channels.
  • Works with creative and media agency partners in the development of communication assets, promotional activations and media plans, through deployment.
  • Leads coordination with Western Union Agent marketing teams in the development and deployment of joint marketing initiatives aligned to Western Union goals.
  • Develops and manages the marketing activity calendar for the region, to also includes joint marketing activities with key agent partners across the region to amplify Western Union activities.
  • Responsible for tracking market share performance (for reported markets), product performance and conducting comparative analysis against competitors (pricing, promotional activities, etc.) to support plan recommendations and/or iterations.
  • Monitors the execution of Western Union and Agent marketing activities and provides performance reports.
  • Develops and provides Western Union agents with the necessary marketing assets for deployment in the market.
  • Manages the approval process for Agent proposed activities and materials with Western Union Brand and Legal teams.
  • Monitors and controls the marketing budget, utilization, and processes invoices for payment to media agency partners.

Role Requirements 

  • University degree in Marketing, Business or Project Management, plus 3+ years related experience. (MBA preferred)
  • Proven abilities in marketing activity execution, business analysis methodologies and tools.
  • Proven experience in priority setting and managing multiple projects and stakeholders.
  • Experience working with creative and media agency partners on creative assets and media planning.
  • Demonstrates initiative and an ability to work independently.
  • Detail-oriented, highly analytical, with a data- and results-driven approach.
  • Thrives working in a fluid and fast-changing environment, whilst managing various priorities.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish.
  • Knowledge of the Caribbean macro and micro-economic landscape is a plus (CARICOM and non-CARICOM territories).
  • Up to 25% international travel.
  • This is a Hybrid role, requiring a minimum of three (3) days onsite/ in office.

Salary 

The base salary range is $85,000 USD – $105,000 USD per year (DOE), total on target compensation includes a base salary and short-term and long-term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on candidates' qualifications, skills, and competencies.
