As a manager, you will be responsible for leading the technology and product capitalization process. The broad range of responsibilities include partnering with key stakeholders, both off-shore and on-shore to drive process improvements, reporting to executive management, tracking capitalization financials, hosting weekly working group meetings, monitoring on-going risks and issue resolution.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the Technology and product capitalization function
• Prepare accurate capitalization reports for management and internal stakeholders
• Establish and monitor internal controls to prevent errors in capitalization process and ensure compliance with relevant accounting guidelines
• Work closely with project managers, finance teams, and operations personnel to gather necessary information for accurate capitalization calculations
• Collaborate with external auditors to address queries related to capitalization and provide necessary documentation for audit procedures. 
• Run a weekly capitalization group forum to update stakeholders on progress and issues related to capitalization process
• Collaborate with accounting teams to address any queries related to capitalization process
• Work with JIRA admin team to drive process improvements
• Working with feature owners and capitalization leads to ensure feature status and account is correctly updated in JIRA
• Provide guidance to team members on management of scope, timelines, issues and risks
• Maintain effective communication with key stakeholders and partners as needed.

What we require:

• 10+ years’ experience in Financial Management discipline with focus on leading teams to deliver complex, technology focused projects and programs under the direction of a governance body.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance with strong understanding of accounting principles
• Ability to analyze financial data, including project costs, to determine appropriate capitalization treatment
• Knowledge of project management methodologies to effectively track and monitor project costs for capitalization purposes. 
• Clear and concise communication to explain complex capitalization concepts to stakeholders across different departments. 
• Prior experience of leading teams, including working overlapping business hours to partner with onshore teams
• Must be a problem solver with demonstrated experience in solving difficult challenges, with a can-do attitude; possess strong leadership skills in guiding and directing teams throughout the capitalization process
• Self-starter with ability to multi-task, prioritize, manage workload, and consistently deliver results
