The Business Analyst/Project Management role enhances operational effectiveness by combining expertise in procedures and concepts with an understanding of broader business goals. This hybrid role involves project management and business analysis for the KYC program. Responsibilities include leading limited scope systems projects to support product or regulatory needs, developing business intelligence reports, conducting user testing, and consistently meeting project deadlines while ensuring thorough documentation and information sharing. The role also involves translating complex business requirements into technical designs, ensuring compliance with regulatory and user architecture needs, and acting as a liaison between business operations, support departments (Finance, Compliance, Security), and developers. Additionally, the role includes developing and maintaining reports, dashboards, and scorecards to track key performance metrics from multiple data sources
Role Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the entire project lifecycle from initiation to closure.
- Develop project plans, timelines, and milestones, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure project deliverables are met on time and within budget.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, and resolve issues promptly.
- Ensure thorough documentation and information sharing throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct post-project evaluations to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices.
- Translate complex business requirements into technical designs, ensuring compliance with regulatory and user architecture needs.
- Act as a liaison between business operations, support departments (Finance, Compliance, Security), and developers.
- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and scorecards to track key performance metrics from multiple data sources.
Role Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Project management experience/knowledge with the ability to drive projects to successful completion preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite, Jira, Confluence, and Visio or similar diagram tools is required.
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, influencing, prioritization, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills.
- Demonstrated experience delivering well-documented data requirements, translating business requirements into technical requirements, and working with relational database concepts, including writing moderately complex queries for ad hoc analysis (over 3 years).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in complex retail/consumer financial services/payment services organizations with multiple financial products, or a regulatory agency or law firm involving payment services compliance issues related to anti-money laundering, Bank Secrecy Act, and related laws and regulations is preferred.
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with all levels of management.
- Knowledge of MS Access, SQL, Business Objects, Visual Basic, and familiarity with visual analytic software such as Tableau is preferred.
