Are you passionate about transforming complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly documentation? As a key member of the global Gateway product team, the Technical Writer will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between complex technical concepts and user-friendly documentation.

This individual will primarily focus on creating and maintaining high-quality technical documentation while also supporting the product owner team with business analysis tasks. By collaborating closely with product managers, developers, and support teams, this role ensures that our documentation meets the highest standards of clarity and accuracy, enhancing the overall user experience and driving the success of our products.
Business analysis skills are a plus to help the product team with technical details and authoring user stories.
Role Responsibilities

Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work with product managers, developers, and support teams to understand product features and technical requirements.

Develop and maintain high-quality documentation: Create and update API reference documentation, developer guides, tutorials, release notes, FAQs, troubleshooting guides, and content for the developer portal.

Simplify complex information: Organize and present complex technical information in an easy-to-understand format tailored to developers and non-technical audiences.

Support business analysis tasks: Assist the product owner team by providing technical details to help define user stories and requirements for the engineering team.

Continuous improvement: Regularly review and update documentation to align with product updates, new features, and user feedback.

Style guide maintenance: Assist the Product team in defining and maintaining the style guide for documentation to ensure consistency and accuracy.

Stay current with industry best practices: Keep up-to-date with the latest trends in technical writing, developer tools, and API documentation.
Role Requirements

Proven experience as a Technical Writer, preferably in Fintech, SaaS, or a related industry.

Experience creating API documentation using tools like Swagger, Postman, or similar platforms.

Experience in business analysis or a related field is a plus.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to translate complex technical concepts into simple, user-friendly content.

Proficiency with documentation tools (e.g., Markdown, HTML, Confluence, Git).

Familiarity with API concepts, RESTful APIs, and software development processes.

Basic understanding of programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) is a plus.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to gather and analyze data to inform documentation and product decisions.

Ability to support the product owner team with technical details for defining user stories and requirements.

Additional certifications in business analysis or related fields are advantageous.

Salary
The on-target earnings range is $57,240 – $77,760 per year, which includes a base salary and short-term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on candidates’ qualifications, skills, and competencies.
