As a Compliance Specialist you will reinforce the Compliance team and contributes to the smooth running of WU's compliance program, the performance of network compliance checks and training, the detection, analysis, and reporting of suspicious activity, in accordance with WU policies and procedures, and within the framework of AML-CFT.

Role Responsibilities 

  • AML Compliance and Investigation: follow the recommended standard investigation steps, review and submission of regulatory compliance reports. Management and follow-up of compliance committees. Detection, analysis, and reporting of suspicious activity, in accordance with WU policies and procedures, and within the framework of AML-CFT. 
  • Risk mapping: participation in the annual update of the risk mapping, and the identification of checkpoints. 
  • Procedures and Standards: maintain AML policies, procedures, and standards, ensuring updates to regulations. 
  • Stakeholder relations: process requests received from the different departments. Coordinate with internal teams to gather and provide necessary documentation and information. Assist with compliance program reviews of network and independent locations. 
  • Keep Learning: Monitoring France regulations on Compliance & AML matters. 

Role Requirements

  • Higher education (e.g. Law, Banking, Insurance, Commerce). 

  • Fluency in French and English languages (oral and written). 

  • +1 year of experience within the AML Compliance field and understanding of conducting AML risk assessments.  

  • Ability to understand and apply complex legal regulations. 

  • Ability to write clear, concise and detailed suspicious activity reports. 

  • Ability to work in a team and independently. 

  • Discretion and confidentiality. 

  • A mastery of Microsoft Pack Office (including Excel). 

  • Willing to travel up to 10% within Paris area – driving license is a plus.
