Are you a Legal Counsel with strong commercial experience, looking to help shape the strategy and approach to negotiations across EMEA business? We are seeking an experienced Commercial Legal Counsel to join our Business Legal team. You will provide commercial and regulatory support for contracts, business-as-usual operations and new initiatives as well as partnering with business leaders to help shape the strategic direction of the company.  

 

Location: London (Hammersmith) - Hybrid 

 

Role Responsibilities  

  • Broad responsibility for commercial legal support across EMEA, with particular focus on the UK. 

  • Provide sound advice and guidance on commercial legal and business-related matters to internal stakeholders.

  • Drive collaboration with various stakeholders locally and around the globe, ensuring that legal matters are effectively and efficiently managed. 

  • Review, draft and negotiate agreements for our Retail and Digital businesses.

  • Advise on licensing and other regulatory requirements in the region relating to Western Union activities and products. 

 
Role Requirements 

  • Excellent academic qualifications including Law degree and solicitor qualification (or equivalent). 

  • 3-5 years of PQE years of related/practical legal experience.  

  • Demonstrable experience in drafting, negotiating and reviewing various types of agreements and legal documents. 

  • Knowledge of the UK legal and regulatory environment.

  • Legal regulatory experience  would be an asset but not required

  • Experience in financial services and/or payments industries sectors would be an asset but not required
