We’ll be looking for you to develop and implement the Western Union Business Solutions marketing strategy and marketing plans for Italy, Malta and Spain to support new business initiatives in the marketplace. You will be directly in charge of the Italian market, and you will manage two Marketing Specialists based in Spain and Malta. You will be working closely with the sales teams and the global marketing team. You will ensure the execution of the marketing plans and you will manage your local budgets. You will develop partnerships with industry associations, support lead generation, identify and manage events/tradeshows, as well as social media campaigns and any other offline/online marketing initiatives to support the business growth targets. You will be in charge of creating market research and analyses to identify new business opportunities and to develop marketing plans accordingly.

For such a detail-driven role, you must have a first successful experience in a similar role, ideally in the Financial Services / FinTech industry. You’ll need to have experience in offline and online marketing (focused on acquisition campaigns to drive inbound leads) and team management. You may have a Degree in Business / Marketing. The ability to deliver market and industry research and to analyse data is required. You’ll be a strong communicator who is able to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels, and to influence positive actions. Italian (native speaker level) and English languages are required for this role.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Following the Western Union Business Solutions divestiture announcement on August 4, 2021, recruitment efforts will continue for this position on behalf of Western Union. However, as part of the divestiture agreement, this position will transition to the purchasing company should the transaction conclude.
