We’ll be looking to you to manage and be accountable to direct credit responsibility for a portfolio of agents/merchant/business partners in North America.  You will be heavily involved in financial and data analysis, from multiple data sources, to assess the creditworthiness of prospects and partners, which includes financial analysis of small to large-sized agents, assign risk ratings, analyses of risk exposure and losses.   You’ll respond to portfolio loss trends by proposing changes to underwriting thresholds, balances/credit risk exposures, and manage credit limits to ensure an appropriate balance between risk and return.  You will collaborate, negotiate and set agent credit and settlement terms, along with reviewing these terms in non-standard contracts and provide recommendations and obtain approvals.  You’ll implement credit workout strategies for agents in financial distress, monitor and stay alert for potential bankruptcies and defaults.  You will partner with Legal/Collections teams to obtain additional agent credit information as needed for recovery and monitor AR and risk exposure of the largest agents to contact them as necessary to obtain payment and financial information.

For such an important role, you will have 7 years of experience in financial analysis and/or credit risk management.  You will have a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a similar subject, and a CFA level 2 candidate. You will have experience working with the principles of financial reporting, accounting, basics of contract law, and knowledge of US bankruptcy codes and procedures.  You’ll have a proven ability to conduct decision-based financial analysis that is supported by a customer write-up based on limited information.  You will have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, basic accounting systems, and databases, along with the ability to collaborate and maintain business relationships across the organization.  Previous experience of agile working methodologies is also desirable.
