The Workday Reporting analyst is within the People Technology (HR) team and supports the global Western Union for all Workday related modules for the employee life cycle.

The Analyst is responsible for building and maintaining the Workday reporting infrastructure and creating scalable reporting solutions. This role will work on a variety of projects across the People (HR) team and adjacent to the People Analytics team.

Role Responsibilities

  • Analyze, design, and build new, while continuously maintaining and/or depreciating, custom reports using standard Workday reporting functionality (Report Writer, Calculated Fields, BIRT, and Prism)
  • Partner closely with collaborators inside and outside of HR to understand complex reporting requirements and create complex custom reports (matrix, composite, advanced etc.) and dashboards.
  • Support People Technology team projects by understanding multi-functional needs and usage across functions, including Payroll, Compensation, HR Business Partners, Talent Management, HR Operations, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB), Recruiting, Absence, and Time-tracking (TT).
  • Build strong relationships with colleagues across HR as well as across corporate functions to identify, prioritize, design, execute, and drive adoption.
  • Collaborate with internal clients to incorporate testing and feedback into the development lifecycle, partner with clients’ post-production to ensure continued adoption of delivered solutions.
  • Maintain the tier 1 reporting queue with timely engagement and follow up as required; train users on reporting as needed.
  • Perform complex auditing to ensure data integrity within reports and calculated fields.
  • Document report requirements, specifications, and processes for future reference and knowledge sharing.
  • Create and maintain reporting standards such as naming conventions, tags, etc.
  • Keep up to date with Workday updates and plan for changes per future releases.
  • Develop tactical and long-term data models that are scalable and adaptable to evolving HR changes.
  • Implement risk and controls into all solutions, demonstrate solid understanding of data privacy and Western Union data security requirements.
  • Manage integrations between Workday, Prism, Workday Adaptive and external data sources that are brought into Workday Prism.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Role Requirements

  • 2+ years of relevant experience building and delivering impactful HR Data, Reporting and Dashboard solutions in Workday; Workday Reporting Pro or certifications preferred.
  • Experience with Workday Prism highly preferred.
  • Ability to manage work with the utmost level of confidentiality and discretion.
  • Solid data visualization and storytelling skills to effectively communicate insights and influence decisions.
  • Business sense, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Adaptable, logical, and capable of flexing solutions to changing demands.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to effectively address any issue in collaboration with others as appropriate; ability to proactively anticipate problems and opportunities and confidence to use initiative to pursue solutions.
  • Ability to think about end-to-end processes, especially the user experience, to deliver on business as well as technical outcomes.
  • Ability to work in a ticketing environment, such as ServiceNow.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Salary 

The base salary range is $67,500 – 112,500 USD per year, total on target compensation includes a base salary and short-term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on candidates’ qualifications, skills, and competencies.
