Senior Specialist, Business Development

In this critical role, you will be responsible for supporting the BDM in the effective management of our agent network, negotiating competitive source rates, customer relationship and our profitability. You will help the BDM with optimum market penetration, share and presence of Western Union, achievement of annual transactions, revenue, and profit targets as well as network development targets and the introduction of new product and services.
Role Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the country strategy aligned with regional and global objectives.
- Identify and capitalize on market opportunities to drive growth, market share, and competitive positioning.
- Own and deliver annual budgets, including revenue, transaction, and profit targets.
- Optimize cost structures while maximizing business efficiency and profitability.
- Drive network expansion, onboarding new agents/partners and strengthening existing relationships.
- Enhance market penetration and brand presence across all channels.

Role Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- In-depth knowledge of global and regional Money Transfer Operators (MTOs), their operating models, products, pricing strategies in Bangladesh.
- Proven success in client-facing roles such as account management, partnership development, or merchant/agent acquisition within financial services.
- Strong solution-based selling skills with a track record of driving revenue growth, market share expansion, and partner performance improvement.
- Understanding of Foreign exchange volatility, global and country economic trend.
- Self-starter with a proactive, results-driven mindset, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional and multicultural teams in a fast-paced, matrix organization.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
- Proficiency in Bangla Language & Advanced English is required.
