Role Responsibilities

The Business Analyst contributes to the effectiveness of operations by combining their expertise in procedures and concepts of their own operational responsibilities with an understanding of how those responsibilities integrate with the broader goals of the business unit and company. Other key responsibilities would include:
- Lead and coordinate projects, including research, analysis, documentation, design/develop testing, training, status reporting, implementation, and post-rollout review/audit.
- Build strong working relationships with teams across the globe and cross functional business partners and work closely with them to gather, analyze, clarify, and document business requirements and translate them to system requirements.
- Assist stakeholders in evaluating the impact of new opportunities and estimating the effort required to implement the solutions to support them, to help respective functions understand change implementation process, facilitate problem solving sessions.
- Collaborate with Product, IT and functional leaders to align on requirements and facilitating design discussions. You’ll need to recognize problem areas, analyze solutions, perform time studies as needed using sampling methods and tools to capture times.
- Act as a liaison between business operations, support departments such as Product, Customer Experience, Operations, Compliance and Security, and developers.
- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and scorecards to track key performance metrics from multiple data sources.
Role Requirements
- Project management experience/knowledge with ability to drive projects to successful completion preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Demonstrated experience delivering well-documented data requirements, translating business requirements into technical requirements and working with relational database concepts, including writing moderately complex queries for ad hoc analysis (3+ years).
- Minimum 2 years in complex retail/consumer financial services/payment services organizations with multiple financial products, know your customer (KYC), or a regulatory agency or law firm involving payment services compliance issues relating to anti-money laundering, Bank Secrecy Act, and related laws and regulations is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, influencing, prioritization, decision making and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively, orally & in writing, with all levels of management.
- Knowledge of MS Project, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Access, SQL, Business Objects, Visual Basic, and Visio Drawing tool along with general familiarity with visual analytic software such as Tableau.
- Previous experience with Scaled Agile Framework as product owner/manager using tools like Jira, Jira Align preferred .
Work Shift
HYBRID – Western Union values in-person collaboration, problem solving, and ideation whenever possible. We believe this fosters common ways of working and supports how we execute initiatives for our customers. The expectation is to work from the office a minimum of three days a week.
