Role Responsibilities
The Director, US Prepaid & Digital Wallet Go-to-Market Lead will own P&L performance and shape the sales and marketing strategy for our prepaid and digital wallet portfolio. We’re looking for a senior leader with proven go-to-market expertise and strong knowledge of prepaid cards, digital wallets, and/or banking products.
In this role, you’ll drive sales and customer engagement across both retail and digital channels. You’ll partner across the organization to build lifecycle marketing strategies, develop pricing and promotional plans, and enhance the customer experience. As the primary advocate for US Prepaid and Digital Wallet solutions, you’ll lead cross-functional alignment, guide campaign strategy, and use market insights to fuel growth. This position demands strong leadership, operational excellence, and a focus on delivering results.

Lead the go‑to‑market strategy, revenue plan, and growth delivery for US Prepaid and Digital Wallet.

Drive retail and digital acquisitions by partnering with Sales and Marketing to develop campaigns, sales materials, funnel optimization, and promotional strategies.

Engage and enable sales teams with tools, training, and collateral to accelerate product adoption across channels.

Develop repeat‑usage and retention strategies, including pricing, marketing initiatives, and customer experience enhancements.

Define KPIs and lead performance measurement, using data insights to optimize go‑to‑market plans.

Manage product value proposition and positioning, ensuring offerings remain competitive and aligned with market needs.

Collaborate cross‑functionally to influence product innovation, enhance customer experience, and deliver strong financial outcomes.
Role Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent skills are required, with 10+ years of experience in general management, strategy, or marketing within financial services or payments; prepaid, digital wallet, or digital banking experience strongly preferred.

Proven senior‑level go‑to‑market leadership, including defining strategic roadmaps and driving measurable business outcomes.

Strong commercial and financial acumen, with experience in pricing, forecasting, and full P&L ownership.

Deep understanding of prepaid card and digital wallet ecosystems, including issuers, processors, compliance, and digital customer experiences.

Successful track record leading cross‑functional teams and influencing stakeholders across all organizational levels.

Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, paired with the ability to lead through ambiguity and manage multiple priorities.

Customer‑centric, analytically strong strategic thinker with hands‑on execution capability and lifecycle marketing expertise.
Work Shift
HYBRID – Western Union values in-person collaboration, problem solving, and ideation whenever possible. We believe this fosters common ways of working and supports how we execute initiatives for our customers. The expectation is to work from the office a minimum of three days a week.

Salary
The on-target earnings range is $185,000 – $205,000 per year, which includes a base salary and short-term and long-term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on candidates’ qualifications, skills, and competencies.
