In this role, you will shape the strategic direction of the Controlling function and act as a key business partner to senior leadership across the organisation. You will oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, and ensure transparent, accurate reporting that enables effective decision-making. You will strengthen financial governance, drive performance optimisation, and support the sustainable scaling of new products and markets—contributing directly to innovation and customer value.

Role Responsibilities

  • Execute operating plans and forecast modelling.
  • Develop and refine financial models and analytical frameworks to support a changing business environment.
  • Conduct detailed business analysis and reporting to support business operations and key initiatives.
  • Analyse business risks and opportunities and recommend actionable plans.
  • Ensure overall financial steering of the bank.
  • Serves as a tactical, day-to-day business partner to business teams.
  • Set priorities and deliver comprehensive financial support including profitability analysis, initiative performance assessment, and cost control.
  • Identifies and implements process improvement initiatives within the area of responsibility.
  • Perform supervisory responsibilities inherent to a managerial position.

Role Requirements

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of finance/controlling function within the financial services or banking sector.
  • Proven ability to work cross functionally on business and CFO projects.
  • Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, multi-year planning, and cost management.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong financial modelling capabilities.
  • Experience working with ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Highly organised and detail oriented, able to provide clear planning direction and guidance to business teams.
  • Fluent in English; German language skills are a nice-to-have.

Salary

We are legally required to state the minimum salary for this position, which is EUR 70,200 gross per year. However, our attractive compensation packages are aligned with current market levels and may therefore significantly exceed this minimum.
