The Head of Hunting, West US leads a team of Business Development Executives focused on new agent acquisition, profitable network expansion, and delivering strong financial and operational results across complex Designated Marketing Areas (DMAs). This role owns the end-to-end new agent sales process, from prospecting and pipeline development through contract negotiation, onboarding, and transition to account management.This position sets strategic direction, manages forecasting and pipeline planning, and uses data-driven performance processes to maximize productivity and ROI. The leader collaborates cross-functionally with Marketing, Operations, and Account Management to ensure seamless activation, strong brand representation, and long-term partner success. Directly manages 2–8 team members and influences broader market strategy.
 
Role Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of Business Development Executives responsible for new business generation and profitable network expansion.
  • Set clear goals, KPIs, and performance standards aligned with company objectives, and monitor progress through disciplined performance management.
  • Guide the team through the full hunting lifecycle, including prospecting, lead qualification, pipeline management, contract negotiation, and onboarding.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, training, and feedback to improve productivity, close rates, and overall team performance; implement performance improvement plans when necessary.
  • Develop and execute territory and pipeline strategies to maximize high-potential agent acquisition within assigned DMAs.
  • Analyze market insights, competitive dynamics, demographic trends, and performance data to identify opportunities, risks, and strategic priorities.
  • Prepare and present performance, pipeline, and market analysis reports to inform decisions and drive continuous improvement.Oversee contract negotiations to ensure contribution margin targets, deal profitability, and compliance with internal policies.
  • Partner with Marketing and Operations to strengthen lead generation, enhance onboarding processes, and accelerate agent activation timelines.Collaborate closely with Account Management to ensure smooth transitions of newly activated agents and support early retention.
  • Reinforce compliance with regulatory, operational, and brand standards across the new agent network.
  • Define short- and long-term strategies aligned with company goals and translate them into clear, actionable plans.
  • Interact routinely with customers and agents in the field to support acquisition and maintain strong market presence.
Role Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 5–7 years of progressive sales experience with strong results in new business development, territory expansion, or network growth.
  • 3–5 years of sales leadership experience overseeing field-based or business development teams.
  • Preference for experience within consumer financial services, money transfer, or similar industries.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue and profit growth.
  • Strong financial and business acumen, including ability to assess deal profitability, analyze market data, and evaluate ROI.
  • Expertise in pipeline management, forecasting, contract negotiation, and sales process optimization.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce (or other CRM tools) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit, develop, and motivate high-performing teams, fostering accountability and engagement.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and presentation skills; ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose performance issues and implement targeted solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across functions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bi-lingual/bi-cultural experience highly desired.
  • Travel required approximately 40–50%.
  • Valid Driver’s License and reliable vehicle required for regular travel within the assigned territory.

Salary
The on-target earnings range is $140,000 – $155,000 USD per year, which includes a base salary plus a high-impact commission structure and long-term incentives that align with individual and company performance.  Actual salaries will vary based on candidates’ qualifications, skills, and competencies.
