Product Owner, Compliance Systems & Analytics – Denver, CO
To help us continue to maintain a world-class screening and filtering program, we’re in search of an experienced product owner to support a busy and complex compliance systems portfolio. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented with a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business partners. This person should be able to effectively maintain compliance driven requirements to full scale project implementation.
Role Responsibilities

Organizing and effectively running the daily activities of Western Union’s List Processing and Screening Portfolio for Agent and Account Based Relationships.

Primary responsibilities include building and maintaining relationships with leaders and key stakeholders to understand, articulate, and communicate strategic priorities.

Collaborate with various groups around the globe, to become a SME for key workstreams.

Will require effective communication of enhancements, issues, and updates to leaders and stakeholders in both small and large forums.

Will require feature and enhancement management to the program to support product or regulatory needs.

Feature management, business requirement development, creation of user stories, acceptance criteria creation, and backlog management, prioritization and close alignment with development of scrum teams.

Will function as a core member of an enterprise team, consistent of product managers, analysts, scrum masters, application developers, testers, and business owners/stakeholders.

Key components of job performance are quality, productivity, and effective communication. May participate on project teams representing AML Compliance.
Role Requirements

Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.

Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills. Detail oriented.

Must posses well developed interpersonal skills and be able to function well within a team-oriented environment.

Must be able to perform independently with minimal supervision and with a high level of autonomy.

Able to take a lead role and provide leadership to others in the department.

Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with both technical and business partners.

Capable of balancing pressure and deadlines with changing priorities.

Ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in delivering well-documented user stories and requirements.

Working knowledge of MS Suite is preferred.

Prefer experience in compliance including knowledge and understanding of anti-money laundering acts, laws, and regulations as well as anti-money laundering issues and trends.

Familiarity with Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, XP, etc) and tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Figma.

Salary
The base salary range is $95,000 – $125,000 per year, total on target compensation includes a base salary plus short-term incentives that align with individual and company performance.
