Are you looking to start your career in sales and business development? Western Union is seeking a Junior Business Development Associate to support our local sales team while building a clear pathway for your professional growth into a full sales role across North and Anglophone West Africa.

In this role, you will assist with monitoring sales activity and supporting internal business processes for the region. This is an entry-level position designed to help you learn, grow, and eventually transition into a full sales role. Role Responsibilities 

  • Support the sales team with administrative and operational tasks to ensure smooth execution of business activities. 

  • Prepare regular reports, dashboards, and feedback to help track KPIs and performance. 

  • Identify and escalate process-related issues, following up to ensure timely resolution. 

  • Collect market and consumer insights to inform marketing and network development initiatives. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to help achieve regional goals. 

  • Participate in training and shadowing opportunities to develop core sales and business development skills. 

 

Role Requirements 

  • Interest in building a career in sales and business development. 

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel required; PowerBI, Salesforce, or SharePoint are a plus). 

  • Fluency in English (French is a plus). 

  • Previous experience in customer service or sales support is helpful but not required. 

  • International travel may be required.
