As a HR Generalist – Regional for a leading global financial services company, you will play a crucial role in providing dedicated HR support across an assigned region. You will be responsible for assisting in the execution of HR programs and policies, ensuring alignment with global standards while addressing the unique needs of the regional workforce. Collaborating closely with regional HR teams and leadership, you will provide guidance on HR best practices, assist with performance management, and ensure compliance with local labor laws and company policies. The role requires a proactive, solution-oriented approach, exceptional communication skills (multiple languages highly desired), and the ability to navigate complex, cross-cultural HR challenges in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. 

Role Responsibilities

  • Directly addresses more complex HR issues with the business, employees or HR leaders.
  • Responsible for: ensuring the uniform and consistent application of company policy, administering effective human relations programs that support the company’s corporate objectives.
  • Evaluate and recommend process improvements for handling escalations, leave management, and regional HR operations to enhance efficiency and service quality.
  • Be an active part in the collaboration with other members of the HR team to address complex employee issues.
  • Demonstrates broad employment law knowledge providing training and guidance to less experienced staff.
  • Performs duties under minimum supervision, applying a broad knowledge of principles, practices and procedures.
  • Interprets human resource policies and aligns resources and people to meet strategy goals.
  • Has latitude for unreviewed action or decision.

Role Requirements

  • For this role, you will ideally be an experienced human resource professional, with extensive knowledge in Brazil labor laws and regulations.
  • In-depth knowledge of regional HR practices, policies, and labor laws. Ideally in the financial industry.
  • Critical and creative thinking, attention to details, and ability to make independent decisions.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Experience driving process improvements and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. 
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with stakeholders of different seniority levels.
  • Fluency in English and Portuguese with outstanding verbal, writing, and listening skills.
