Senior Officer, Compliance – Remote (Chicago, IL area only)

In this crucial role, you will provide anti-money laundering (AML) Compliance support to Western Union’s largest Strategic Accounts to build programs that are in compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), USA Patriot Act, and other anti-money laundering laws as they apply to Money Services Businesses.
Role Responsibilities
- Serve as the day-to-day Compliance contact supporting strategic partners in the retail and financial service sectors.
- Partner with Sales and Operations Senior Leaders to monitor, analyze and present the impact of Compliance controls.
- Evaluate internal controls and anti-money laundering compliance programs for agents through transaction analyses, compliance reviews, and training sessions.
- Build and deliver presentations to current and prospective partners on the advantages of compliance.
- Complete agent program reviews on a quarterly target basis and manage case load independently.
- Lead cross-functional projects surround program improvement and risk mitigation.
Role Requirements
- 4+ years experience in the financial services industry
- Knowledge of compliance, auditing, risk management, and BSA Compliance.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Excellent verbal communication and training/presentation skills.
- Very strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Independent worker with excellent multi-tasking ability.
- Highly developed and demonstrated interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft suite of applications, including excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to travel up to 30% (expenses are paid).

Salary
The base salary range is $82,000 – $110,000 USD per year, total on target compensation includes a base salary and short-term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on candidates’ qualifications, skills, and competencies.
