As the IAM Operations Manager you will need to possess in-depth knowledge and experience leading a team of Information Security Administrators and Analysts in support of an Enterprise Identity and Access Management program. You will be responsible for ensuring that the team operates effectively, focusing on the “right work” in the “right way” while delivering measurable and impactful results to the business, you will also ensure a high level of customer service and communication is upheld with requestors and internal clients, manages expectations with the same, and coach team to develop the skills to do so.
Key activities will include but won’t be limited to: participation in the issue resolution process for applicable identity and access management related production problems and their appropriate escalation. Acting as the first line of defense regarding reasonableness of incoming requests, determination and setting of operational priorities for the team. Take immediate action when confronted with a problem or when made aware of a situation. When proposing solutions works with supervision to evaluate options by considering the implications, risks, feasibility, and consequences. Last, but not least you will need to demonstrate ability to appropriately involve others in decisions and have an effective advocate for IAM processes and services in order to influence key stakeholders, peers and team members to best serve our environment and customers.
For such a pivot role you will have a minimum of 5 years of professional experience working in Information Technology environment or similar field, demonstrated progressive responsibility with couple of years in IAM operations (i.e access requests, user provisioning, attestation, privileged access management) or IAM engineering, as well as a strong understanding of information security concepts and tools such as MFA, Active Directory, PAM among others.
In terms of the specific soft skills, you will need to be an expert for security controls by design and have de data analytics mindset to drive, capture, analyze; share and make decisions based on the story data tells. You should demonstrate ability to adjust priorities, follow through on multiple issues and high adaptability approach to changes. English proficiency, communication skills from different organizational perspectives and tech knowledge will be assessed as part of the recruitment process.
